Everything You Need to Know Before You Buy

What is "The Constant Current Adapter"?

The Constant Current Adapter has been designed to convert the Colloidal Silver electrical output of SOTA's Silver Maker and/or Silver Pulser from a constant-voltage to a constant-current.

Constant Current is the preferred method for making the finest quality Ionic/Colloidal Silver.

Making Ionic/Colloidal Silver using The Constant Current Adapter does not require that you boil the water. Using a Constant Current Output, the Ionic/Colloidal Silver process is greatly simplified. The trade-off is it takes about 2 hours to make a 5-8 PPM solution. The good news is you simply leave the Silver Wires in the distilled water, ensure the Orange LED light comes ON, and wait for about 1.5 to 2 hours.

For converting our Silver Maker and/or Silver Pulser, simply plug the Constant Current Adapter into the Colloidal Silver Wire Jack on the Silver Maker and/or Silver Pulser, and then plug the Silver Wire Holder into the Constant Current Adapter. An Orange LED will come on when the current is flowing properly. Simple and easy.

Putting it all together:

Our Constant Current Adapter is extremely versatile. Although it was specifically designed to convert our Ionic/Colloidal Silver units to a Constant Current output, this Adapter can operate totally on its own and supply a Constant Current output for use in Ionic/Colloidal Silver production. With appropriate jacks and plugs (from Radio Shack for example) you can make your own Constant Current Ionic/Colloidal Silver generator from virtually any DC power source.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Simply supply any voltage from 3 Volts up to 35 Volts to the input plug. (Polarity is automatically corrected in the unit.)
  2. Plug SOTA's Silver Wire Holder (or use your own set of plugs and wires) into the output jack.
  3. That's it! You now have a Constant Current output for use in Ionic/Colloidal Silver production. It's that simple.

Unique Features:

The Unit:

Constant-Current unit

The Constant Current Adapter is housed in an attractive over-molded enclosure.

An Orange LED Light illuminates when the circuit through the Silver Wires is complete and current is flowing correctly.

The Constant Current Adapter is powered by plugging the 2.5mm plug into either SOTA's Silver Maker or Silver Pulser. Furthermore, applying a voltage directly to the 2.5mm plug will also allow the unit to function correctly as a Constant Current unit on its own.

Electronics:

The Constant Current Adapter is designed to the highest standards. Our electronic design is unique and efficient making the unit very portable and light-weight.

Specifications:

Dimensions:

The Constant Current Adapter is 1.4" wide x 1.1" long x 0.5" thick (30 mm wide x 28 mm long x 13 mm thick). Casing is high-impact ABS plastic.

Each Constant Current Adapter comes with:

How to Make Ionic/Colloidal Silver
with the
Constant Current Adapter

  1. Plug the Constant Current Adapter jack in the Silver Wire Outlet jack on The Silver Pulser or The Silver Maker.

  2. Insert the silver wires into the Silver Holder.

  3. Plug the cord from the Silver Holder into the Constant Current Adapter.

  4. Place the silver wires in 2 cups of room temperature distilled water. About 75% of the wires should be submerged in the water.

  5. Ensure the Silver Wires are more than about an inch from the bottom of the glass. Do not let the Silver Wires to touch the bottom of the glass.

  6. Turn The Silver Pulser or The Silver Maker unit ON.

  7. The Orange LED Light on the Constant Current Adapter will illuminate when the circuit is complete with a proper current flow. The Orange LED Light will gradually get brighter until the current reaches maximum output. It may take up to 15 minutes to reach maximum brightness.

  8. To produce 5-8 PPM, let the process run for about 1½ to 2 hours with most distilled waters. After 2 to 3 hours, the PPM will be in the 9-10 PPM range. The PPM does not increase significantly up to 5 hours. (Pale gold with 10.4 PPM)

  9. Turn The Silver Pulser or The Silver Maker unit off and clean the Silver Wires well after use.

  10. Larger quantities: The time required to make increasing quantities of ionic/colloidal silver is somewhat linear. Using a dissolved solids (PPM) tester from Hanna Instruments, we found after 4 hours, 4 cups of room temperature distilled water measured 7 PPM and 6 cups of room temperature distilled water measured 4-5 PPM.
