What's New in 1997?
(Technical stuff, updates, breaking news and others)
-
December 11, 1997: They're here! The new
GOLD Probe Cords
have arrived and are shipping as we speak! After an unfortunate (but unavoidable)
delay, these top quality, heavy GOLD plated
Probe Cords (for use on the
Silver
Pulser unit) promise less irritation, excellent electrical conductivity,
durability, and best of all very little corrosion. The
Probes are 80
microns of GOLD over SILVER over COPPER.
They are being introduced at a very special price of $10 USD or $13
CDN until February 28, 1998. After the end of February, 1998 they will
sell for their regular price of $17 USD or $22 CDN. Of course,
The Silver
Pulser will ship with these new probe cords from now on. Hope you enjoy
them...sorry 'bout the delay!

November 22, 1997: New testimonials for November! Please feel free
to check them out by clicking
HERE.

November 22, 1997:
"The
Water Ozonator" Model # WOZ2 is now shipping! We have
priced the
"The
Water Ozonator" Model # WOZ2 at a price of $225
USD or $295 CDN. Shipping included, of course. At this
incredibly low price, we can all benefit from
the positive effects of Ozonated Water. Remember,
"The
Water Ozonator" Model # WOZ2 is intended for water ozonation, and NOT for inhalation of Ozone Gas (which
is damaging to sensitive lung tissues).
-
November 22, 1997: The GOLD Probes for
the Silver
Pulser unit should be available by next week. Look for a special introductory
price!
-
October 31, 1997: BOO! The ozone generator is completed! The actual
product will be called
"The
Water Ozonator" Model # WOZ1. We have completed our
search for the air stone, and have happily chosen a great little unit which
is completely ozone friendly. It is manufactured by Novalex and carries the
brand name of Kordon. We specified in their medium porosity airstone. It
is made from ceramic glass beads and produces a very nice bubble pattern.
As for the remainder of
The
Water Ozonator unit, all parts have been fully tested and
passed our quality checks.
The
Water Ozonator unit will have an option for full battery operation
by utilizing a Battery Powered Air Pump. All parts have now been ordered,
and we expect to ship within 2-3 weeks. I'll soon be building a website featuring
The
Water Ozonator unit including full specifications and colour
photos.

October 8, 1997: There's GOLD in them thar hills! What's
this all about? Well, as some of you are aware, the Stainless Steel Probes
used in the Silver
Pulser will eventually corrode. Unfortunately, there is little we (or
anyone!) can do about this (except Mother Nature herself) since we simply
create the worst possible conditions for corrosion. Salt water, natural oils,
and electricity all combined = CORROSION. This has been an on-going concern
for us from day one. We've looked into and tried many different metals.
The best is titanium, but it is toxic, extremely hard to solder to and very
expensive. Stainless is the best economic choice for anti-corrosive properties,
but it is also extremely hard to solder to. No-holds bar solution then is
gold. It too is expensive (but reasonable when applied as a plating rather
than a solid rod), and adheres to solder very well. Problem is to plate it
on, you must have the proper base metals for adhesion. This can get costly.
SOTA has committed itself to bringing you the best. This is our solution:
We start with a base of COPPER (Cu) for the rod, flash 10 microns
of SILVER (Ag) over the COPPER, and then plate 80 microns of
GOLD (Au) over the SILVER. Then we drill a tiny pilot hole in one
end of the rod for soldering and crimping of the wire to the rod for
a superior electrical connection. Finally, custom molded PVC jackets cover
the rod. Additionally, we increased the size of the wire conductor for longer
life and durability. This is our own proprietary design. Still, we will get
some corrosion! Amazing isn't it? Good news is we found the level of corrosion
is far far less than with the stainless-steel, and it seems to not create
as much irritation, and the cotton sleeves hardly need replacing or cleaning.
These new probe cords will be available by the end of November if all goes
well. Good news is the replacement price for these gold probe cords will
only be slightly higher than the stainless ones. Of course, all
Silver Pulsers
will come with the new gold probes as a standard option. Yea!

October 8, 1997: OZONE (O3) Update: After much work, we have finally
found our new Ozone Generator. It is a beautifully built unit that outputs
25mg/Hr O3. The unit is a little bigger than the size of 2 deck of cards
stacked and is incredibly light. It has a replaceable stainless-steel ozone
chamber (good for 2 years of continuous use!), and best of all it is powered
by a Wall Adaptor (which means it will run off a 12VDC battery). We've been
testing the unit for about 1 month now, and we're very impressed. In addition,
we've specified in a UL Approved aquarium air pump with a 4 PSI output. A
very reliable and quiet operating pump that is the same small size as the
ozone generator. The last leg now is a suitable ozone-safe bubble stone.
One we tried works very well and is built quite nicely. We are waiting for
samples to arrive for a possibly superior stone that produces extremely fine
bubbles. Stay tuned! We're almost ready for prime time...

September 22, 1997: We now accept Discover Card.

September 22, 1997: New
Zapper!
The Zapper just got
a facelift, and improved circuitry. It now has all the controls on the end
panel for easy slippin'-in-the-pocket. Also, I've upgraded the circuitry
so the battery (which is now included!) will last even longer. In addition,
the toggle switch has been upgraded to a more reliable version. We hope you
will enjoy these newer features. The best news for you: the cost of
The Zapper stays the
same!
-
September 22, 1997: We will no longer carry The Ionizer Plus Unit,
because of the high price tag of the unit. We will continue to recommend
this product though.
-
September 8, 1997: I have been making steady, albeit slow progress
on our Ozone Generator System. The biggest challenge is putting together
a system that is lightweight, compact, and can run off a 12 VDC battery so
you're not tied to the 110 VAC grid. Stay tuned....it's getting closer!
-
June 21, 1997: As many of our customers know, there is a new protocol
based on bubbling ozone (O3) through water for the purposes of using the
oxidating properties of ozone. SOTA has been working on a new product that
will ultimately allow one to produce ozone saturated water...safely! Please
keep checking back; we are making great progress on this.

April 14, 1997: MPG Update: After spending many days testing the MPG
unit and the minor bugs we have encountered, we've found a rather simple
solution for those units that shutdown prematurely. The problem is that the
internal heat generated by the unit was interfering with the setpoint of
the safety shutdown. The solution is we've drilled some 80 vent holes on
the bottom of the MPG to release the heat. Did it help? Well, we tested an
MPG that only worked for 14 minutes then shut itself down, and with the addition
of the new vent holes the same unit ran for several hours. Thank-you all
for your patience with this "growing pain"!
-
April 9, 1997: A minor change. We have decided to remove the exclamation
point at the end of our product names! (there I go again!). The reason is,
a customer wrote in requesting to be removed from our mailing list because
she will not buy a product that has an exclamation point referring to it.
At first we thought this was an odd request, but then we got thinking about
it. Why did we have that exclamation point? It was added the the original
Zapper. The exclamation point was intended to provide a descriptive for the
zapping process. It then innocently made its way into most of our other product
names. But this customer's point is well taken. It is and will always be
our policy to try and present new products in the most unbiased way possible.
We have no hidden agendas. We wish to be a company you can trust explicitly.
That trust is earned. So, as not to unintentionally or subliminally bias
or direct your decision in any way towards purchasing goods from us, we have
decided to remove the exclamation point from all of our product names! (sorry
about that "!", must be a habit :). So, thank-you for that letter. It allows
us to take another step forward.
-
February 5, 1997: The
Magnetic Pulser ships! Thank-you all who waited patiently for this
gem. Expect to see your new MPG in the mail by week's end.
-
January 19, 1997: Quality, quality, quality! We really
do continually strive to maintain the highest quality possible. Two areas
that have concerned us have been resolved:
1) We have now new Stimulator probes. Our original design
made use of a crimped fitting onto high grade stainless-steel pins. We found
over time that some of these probes would corrode slightly, and lose the
electrical connection. Our new design involves the use of solid stainless
steel rods soldered with food-grade (completely non-toxic)
solder.
Recall! Return your present probe set for a FREE upgrade to the
new ends!
2) The Colloidal Silver light bulb sometimes gets broken in
shipping, or the unit gets bumped during normal use and the delicate bulb
is damaged. This will prevent the unit from making colloidal silver. We now
have included a socket for the bulb, which makes for easy
replacement. We will replace your broken bulb for
FREE and include with the replacement the new socket for easy fixin'
in the future! Thank-you all for your patience in these matters. We are here
to serve you the very best we can.
